Agrigenium Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is a Bangalore-based startup established in the year 2018. The goal of the start-up is to convert the abundantly available and inexpensive straw, leaves, stems and other residues of major food crops into value added and environmentally friendly bioproducts. With this approach, they not only eliminate the burning or burying of agricultural residues but also add considerable value to the residues that will lead to economic benefits to the farmers. Simultaneously, they use the green and environmentally bioproducts to replace the synthetic polymer based products in current use and reduce environmental pollution. Agrigenium is promoted by a group of 6 individuals consisting of scientists, engineers, agriculturists and entrepreneurs.

Agrigenium uses agricultural residues and co-products to develop 100% biodegradable products for food, agriculture, construction and other industries. The products do not contain any chemicals and are developed by using a simple compression molding technique that convert the residues into value added bioproducts. The technology can be adopted in rural areas without any need for sophisticated equipment. Also, the products can be disposed as fertilizer of animal feed without causing any adverse impact on the environment.
