AIM FIGHTS COVID19
Given the unfortunate health crisis that the globe is currently facing, Atal Innovation Mission is actively involved in multiple initiatives to help deal with the crisis.
COVID-19 DEMO DAYS
In response to the pandemic COVID-19, the Government of India Inter-Ministerial Working Group has been set up to identify promising startups that can offer innovative solutions to address the current crisis. The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog are managing this initiative in partnership with Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology (DBT); Department of Science and Technology – Government of India (GOI), Startup India, AGNIi, MyGov and other relevant ministries, under the guidance and direction of Dr. Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to GOI and Member Health NITI Aayog Dr Vinod Paul.
A total of 1,000+ COVID-19 related startup solutions have been put through two rounds of evaluation by the working group. These solutions belong to different categories such as medical equipment, hygiene related and tech based solutions. This working group is also critically supported by industry bodies like CII, NASSCOM, UNDP and TiE who are committed to tackling COVID-19.
The screening was done by experts with a deep understanding of each area. You can read more about the detailed screening process here.
We are inviting industry leaders, investors, donors, mentors and other key stakeholders to attend the COVID-19 Demo Days and extend their support in the form of funding, providing access to manufacturing abilities, supply chain and logistics or simply finding the right vendors / mentors. The Demo Days are being held across several dates for different categories and will have relevant startups showcase their solutions.

- Working Group - In order to mitigate the impact of COVID19, AIM is facilitating an inter-ministerial working group of the Government of India for identifying startup solutions that can address the current COVID19 crisis. This group includes representatives from various government ministries / departments such as Department of Science and Technology, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Department of Biotechnology, Startup India, Principal Scientific Advisor's office among others.
