Atal tinkering lab of our school has given me an opportunity to express my hidden talent, my passion towards science. I enjoyed a lot this year by making different projects which help the society by implementing very basic principles of programming and science. To contribute the society to reduce the spread of Coronavirus and break the chain, I made a project keeping in mind the idea of social distancing. I want to thank our beloved teachers and staff of MPS for providing us the platform and opportunity to express my talent through the medium of ATL labs.
The project is basically a basic module of Arduino and ultrasonic sensor. I have set its range to approx. 50 cm so that there can be no type of physical contact, replacing a common item such as a doorbell. As soon as it detects the object, the alarm will ring informing the people inside the house. This can also be useful as an anti-theft alarm if there was to be an attempt of breaking the main door. I hope this idea will reduce the spread of many disease like corona virus and will help the society in gaining victory over this pandemic disease, creating awareness about social and safe distancing.
I collected few electronics which were there in my box and start thinking for a project which can play a pivotal role in saving this world from Corona. As doorbell is an object which acts as a mean of transferring virus it increases the chances of spreading disease. I programmed the Arduino to detect an object to ring the bell by using ultrasonic sensor.
This lock-down was very boring for me but spotting of a creative idea in my mind helped me to overcome this boredom. I utilized my time by doing something innovative and gaining knowledge too about coding, different types of electronics and AI.
