Our school name is Devangar Girls Higher Secondary School, Aruppukottai a small town in Tamil Nadu. This is Government Aided School. This story will tell how the girl students are achieving success in technical events. In our school we have conducted a State Level Robotic Competition; in that competition students from Tamil Nadu and Kerala states participated on behalf of Atal Tinkering Lab. We have often conducted class for the non ATL students of nearby schools. We created a new startup also! But this story is about our school’s ATL students who got selected for the National Level Robotics Competition which was held in NEW DELHI. They bagged 3rd prize and they are going to represent INDIA in the International Robotic competition which is going to be held in LONDON soon! This is the greatest achievement of our school. Our school is located in a small town, from this town our innovators went to Delhi and inscribed their names and school name in Delhi.

Our school ATL students Abinaya Swettha, Gobika, Keerthana Srii, Udaya made us immensely proud. They got 3rd prize in International Robotics Competition (IRC School League Season-10) in senior level, held in Thiyagaraj Stadium, New_Delhi conducted by Avishkaar. And they have qualified for the International level competition which is going to be held in London. More than 20 states students participated in this Mega Event. Our school students also the winners of #ShowYourSpirit contest conducted by IRC team. Distance does not matter to achieve goals, they proved this by their action. We got lot of appreciation from our surrounding and community schools. One of the best appreciations is done by the Honorable District Collector of Virudhunagar Mr. KANNAN IAS. and Sub Collector Mr. Dhinesh Kumar. They encouraged the students to achieve in International Level Competition. Our school students and staffs gave warm welcome to the National level Winners.

Our school students got a chance to fly! School Management arranged TA to the students and the staff. We had not crossed Tamil Nadu for any reason till then and for the first time we went out of the state to participate in the competition. This made our students eager to achieve their goals. In Delhi more than 20 states students participated in that competition including International and Matriculation schools. Our students are from Government Aided school, but they did not fear. They participated with a lot of confidence and finally they proved themselves! After this achievement, our nearby school students have started visiting our Atal Tinkering Lab and ask the experience which we got. While participating in these kind of National Level competitions, the curiosity among our school students also increases. This is what we achieved!
