I am Chandra Shekhar Mithlesh, ATL Incharge, Ashi Bai Golchha Govt Girls h s school Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh since 2018. I have attended many training workshops, and seminars conducted by AIM and NITI Aayog and always inspire my students to participate in various ATL activities. I am interested in Artificial intelligence, Python programming as well as research work.
On the occasion of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (India's75 years of independence) space Kidz India(SKI, Chennai) had organized a small satellite program "AzaadiSAT" in which 750 girls students from all over India has participated. Out of 750, our 10 students have actively participated in AzaadiSAT kit programming. The objective of this program was "Women in Space" to increase village girls or girls from remote areas to participate in science and technology.
Space Kidz India had sent us an AzaadiSAT kit and organized the webinar for training the students and teachers. the trainer had trained us in coding, code execution, and burning the program. Students have learned to program related to environmental parameters like temperature, pressure, humidity, velocity, acceleration, altitude etc. students have also learned real-time data gathering through the different sensor units. Students also come to know how satellite works in space.
It was a completely new experience for our students at beginning of march training was started, initially, students were excited as well as afraid for satellite programming but the experience of working in the ATL lab helped them a lot. This satellite programming completely changes the mindset of our students. At the launching of AzaadiSAT satellite, the girls were so happy and watched the live telecast of launching SSLV-D1/EOS-02 from Srihari Kota, ISRO on 7th august 2022. The whole programming and training of this satellite program were conducted completely by our students in ATL Lab. Other students are also motivated.
