The Toc H is an International Service Organization commenced in 1915 during the First World War to render assistance to the wounded soldiers. Toc H Public School was established in 1978 under the aegis of Toc H Cochin Branch. The school commenced its education process in the Primary Session in humble surroundings with 2 teachers and 32 students. Later in the process of upliftment of the school, the Secondary Session was bestowed in the year 1981. Finally, the School attained its full potential with Senior Secondary Section in the year 1987. The school is presently owned and managed by Toc H Public School Society. Toc H Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and prepares students for All India Secondary and Senior School Certificate Examinations. The present student strength of the school is around 2600. A Principal, 2 Vice Principals, Headmistress and an Office Superintendent heads and leads the administration, day-to-day affairs, and discipline of the school. To impart qualitative education to the students, 118 experienced teaching fraternity have been deployed in the school. The school is having a non-teaching wing comprising of Administrative and Supportive staff totaling to 100. The school has maintained a very creditable standard both in scholastic and non-scholastic areas. Toc H Public School has been achieving 100% pass in the Senior School Certificate Examinations and Secondary School Examinations. Toc H Public School has been securing many coveted trophies, championships, and positions in literary, art, cultural, sports & games, quiz, debate, science, tinkering exhibitions, etc., in the Inter-school, District, State, National and International competitions.
The project “Scavenger Drone” executed by Adithya Krishna, Alen S Rajesh and Anirudh Menon got selected as the top 30 innovation projects in the school of the Month Challenge 2019 under the topic: “Advancing India with Drone Technology Innovation”. In the National Robotic Olympiad 2019 Zonal Round conducted at our school on 16th & 17th September 2019, 15 students got selected for the Final Rounds. Our school emerged as Second Runner-up in the Grand Finale held at Mumbai on 11th and 12th January 2020. Over 120 schools all cross India participated in this competition. Adithya Krishna, R Abhinav, Aron Abhishy, Shreya Eby and Joel John Panicker represented the school in the said competition. In the National Science Olympiad 2019 organized by Amritha Vidyapeetham, Amritha School of Engineering, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 30th & 31st October 2019, Nikhila S Hari, Shreya Eby and Tessa Varghese got Second Prize. A total of 9 Nos. of Students Projects presented for the Kerala Young Innovators Development Program KYIDP 2019-22 at Kerala Startup Mission, Kalamassery, Ernakulam District, Kerala, 8 Nos. of Projects got selected in the first round of innovation challenge. 3 projects from our school were in the Final Winners List. Our students compete with college as well as school children in the competition. They will be receiving grants upon the completion of the project.
Toc H Public School is one of the very few schools in Cochin identified by Government of India to establish Atal Tinkering Lab [ATL] under the auspices of Atal Innovation Mission and Grant-in-aid by NITI Aayog. Right from the date of its inception, the ATL In-Charge under the able guidance of the principal have been trying their level best to mentor the caliber and boost the morale of the students for initiating innovative inventions and discoveries by using the gadgets and machineries installed in the Atal Tinkering Lab. To a greater extend, the students of the school have been very much productive and successful in their mission of inventing innovative prototypes and discoveries.
The school has participated in various Regional, State and National level tinkering competitions and had been victorious on all the occasions. On each triumph of their recognition, the joy of the students overflowed incessantly with no bounds. The students rejoiced the situation with hues of euphoria and cries of excitement.
