Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School, Dayanand Vihar inaugurated the Atal Tinkering Laboratory on January 19th, 2018. The school had been selected by NITI Aayog, Government of India to set up the ATL. This significantly amplified the impact of the STEM Program of the school which aims at honing the research and analytical skills of the students.
Community program of the school caters to students from nearby government schools, special students from social welfare organization Amar Jyoti School and parents of our own students. Every last Saturday of the month the ATL of school is open for these members and tinkering session of 2 hours in conducted by our ATL Trainer.

Ambedkar ATL community day was celebrated at Shaheed Rajpal DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL Dayanand Vihar Delhi on April 15, 2019. 32 specially-abled students, teachers and helping staff from social welfare organization Amar Jyoti school, 9 students from Arya Samaj Gurukul, 40 Parents and over 80 students from host school enthusiastically participated in Myriad of session organized by ATL of our school. Sessions were carried out by our alumnus mentor Ayush, mentors from Mars education, teachers and ATL prefects. The sessions provided hands on learning opportunities to the students and parents by engaging them in a plethora of activities and modules. Students constructed hydraulics-based rockets in astronomy session, practiced soldering in electronics session, built hydro pneumo-car in mechanics session, 3D printed trophies in ATL LAB, tinkered with Arduino based projects in robotics session. Students of Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public school collaborated with the students of other nearby schools and NGOs thereby sharing their ideas during "ATL TINKER FEST CULMINATION DAY" celebrated on 20th July 2019. The Celebration of ATL Tinker Fest made the students work on their innovative projects during summer holidays, the projects were aimed to solve the problems encountered in day today life workshop was conducted in our ATL to motivate the community students to boost up their minds and give wings to their imagination. 22 Students from Amar Jyoti School and 10 students from Government school participated in the event.
The most valuable lesson we have learnt working with specially-abled students and economically deprived students is that for every person that has a disability, they have a strength in them that is far superior. A stimulus and opportunity to learn gives new wings to their innovation and dreams.
