Atal Innovation Mission

Schools are the cradle of leadership where knowledge is imparted. Knowledge in today’s world has more to do with innovative application of ideas that can resolve daily challenges. With the vision to inculcate and develop scientific temperament in the young learners of today, Army Public School Shankar Vihar under the aegis of the Atal Innovation Mission of Government’s NITI Aayog, inaugurated the Atal Tinkering Laboratory on 02 May 2019. With an implacable, diligent ATL team, our school have been feted with honors and positions not only at Regional but National level too. Since the inception of ATL in our school, our school has only escalated in its journey to meet the ultimate goal, to empower neoteric innovators with optimum opportunities to discover, explore, reflect and create the suitable environment for community at large.

 

Our school, participated in Robo Cup Junior Regional level competition on 18 and19 December 2019 at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad. Our school team Blitzkrieg logic, comprised of four students of grade 11, Shivam, Vats Arya, Vishist Nilav Bhagabati and Aman Gangwar, brought laurels for the school by bagging 2nd position in RescueMaze category. The team won Award for Best Teamwork and qualified for Nationals to be held in Bangalore on 18 and 19 Jan 2020. The winning team received trophy and certificates. On 18th and 19th January 2020, team Blitzkrieg logic, brought laurels for school by bagging 3rd position at NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITION in RESCUE MAZE category, at Aloysius High School, Sarvajna Nagara, Bangalore. Our school was also rewarded for Best Programming Skills. The team was selected for ROBO CUP JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL Competition which was to be held in Japan in October 2020.Pupils had an enriching experience interacting with experienced trainers and participants.

Surge of participation was seen during pandemic year; we organized several workshops, webinars, training sessions and participated in almost all events at Interschool or National level. Our Schools project on SMART WATCH by team Veerangna, was selected for final judgement, under category AI powered solutions for better India, organized by IBM in partnership with CBSE. Our school bagged 2nd prize in project prototype in ATL UNBOX TINKERING SUMMER CAMP organized by NITI AAYOG in collaboration with IBM and SRF foundation. 3rd Technovation Hackathon Smart City Our ATL trailblazers Joy and Jai Raj of grade XI, participated in 3rd Technovation Hackathon Smart City organized by Sharda University with GNIDA on 26th January 2021 and brought laurel for school by bagging 3rd position with winning certificate and cash prizes Prince Yadav of grade X, bagged 4th position with cash prize for the innovative project on Human Holographism. Children Innovation Festival 2020 Our school participated in Children Innovation Festival 2020 organized by GUSEC & UNISEF. Three Innovated ideas by our Neoteric innovators were shortlisted and Idea by Prince on Human Holographism was selected amongst top 50 innovative ideas. Prince would get access to online bootcamps, a chance to exhibit their ideas and the resources like mentorship, funds, etc. to turn their ideas into reality. Young Scientist India 2021 Parmanand Sharma of grade XI got selected for Finals of Young Scientist India 2021, for his innovative idea of WALCR Water and land cleaning robot. Parmanand was felicitated with trophy, for being selected as Finalist in Young Scientist India 2021 competition.
