India's marginalized producers battle formidable odds to eke out a fragile livelihood.
Established in 2005, Access Livelihoods Consulting India (ALC India) is a social enterprise that partners with more than 65,000 marginalized producers, including small and marginal farmers, weavers, tribals, and small livestock holders.
To such producers, ALC India offers professional services that they can use to turn the odds in their favour and build livelihoods that are more certain, rewarding, and sustainable. As part of this effort, ALC India

  • incubates enterprises that the communities own, typically cooperatives or producer companies and
  • develops producers’ technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial skills, as they move to become an entrepreneur.
